Baltimore: Dean, Huber and Lunn Named to Maryland Port Commission

Governor Larry Hogan recently appointed Christian Dean of Timonium, Robert Huber and Rev. Dr. John Lunn, Sr., to the Maryland Port Commission (MPC).

Mr. Dean is vice president of sales for the Maryland and Capital Regions of First National Bank of Pennsylvania. His background includes service in the U.S. Coast Guard and extensive experience in banking, finance, and risk management in the maritime industry.

Mr. Huber is a former Maryland Port Administration real estate administrator who drafted and amended maritime leases and secured appraisals for MPA properties.

Rev. Lunn, pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Baltimore since 1976, spent 30 years as a middle and high school teacher in Howard County.

They join Brenda Dandy, Walter Tilley, David Richardson, and Maryland Transportation Secretary Pete K. Rahn and replace Theodore Venetoulis, Donald Fry and Rev. Donte Hickman Sr., on the seven-member commission.

The MPC is charged with establishing polices directed toward improving the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore’s competitive position within the international maritime industry. Transportation Secretary Rahn serves as chair and presides at monthly commission meetings. Commissioners serve terms of three years.
