Aratu’s cargo base consists primarily of bulk and liquid cargo such as alumina, cola, fertilizers, gasoline, alcohol and gas products. Ilhéus is a breakbulk and dry bulk port whose chief cargo is cocoa but also includes soya, sorghum, magnesium oxide and industrial components.
