Lamar University Announces Online Port and Marine Terminal Master’s Program Start in Fall 2017
Lamar University’s Center for Advances in Port Management (CAPM) announces the inaugural offering of its fully online Master of Science in Port and Terminal Management program beginning Fall 2017 (first class August 23). The program includes 12 classes (36 hours) covering the broad array port industry relevant topics. Lamar University also offers concentrations in port management through its Masters of Engineering Management and MBA programs, and specific, industry relevant certifications. The courses are taught in eight week sessions by faculty in the Colleges of Engineering and Business, augmented by industry experts serving as adjunct faculty and guest lecturers. CAPM’s port master’s program is aimed at filling the needs of working professionals in the port and marine terminal operating and related industries, who see career enhancing opportunities through this unique, advanced educational program.
Based on the center’s partnership with AAPA, up to 6 credit hours of required coursework can be waived if the candidate has been granted Professional Port Manager(PPM®) certification.
