Virginia Port Promotes O’Brien to VP of Carrier Sales, Thanks Naughton for 24 Years of Service
The Port of Virginia is undergoing changes to its sales team. After 24 years of service at the port, Frank Naughton, vice president of ocean carrier sales, announced earlier this month that he will be retiring on July 1. Joe O’Brien will take over the post. The port is beginning a search for candidates to fill Mr. O’Brien’s former position of director of ocean carrier sales.
"We’re all happy for Frank; he has had a long and successful career here and we thank him for all of his hard work," said Thomas D. Capozzi, chief sales officer. "Fortunately for us, Frank will continue to serve as an advisor on ocean carrier issues for the port on an ongoing basis, so he’ll continue to be a valuable asset."
Mr. O’Brien will remain in the port’s office in Hoboken (NJ). The director of ocean carrier sales position will transition to port authority headquarters at the World Trade Center in Norfolk (VA).
