Two New Directors Appointed to the Montreal Port Authority
On the recommendation of Federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau, the Governor General in Council has appointed Hélène Lauzon and Johanne Lépine to the board of directors of the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) for terms of three and two years, respectively.
Ms. Lauzon chairs Conseil Patronal de l'Environnement - the Quebec business council on the environment. Ms. Lépine is executive vice-president and chair, Eastern Canada, at Aon Risk Solutions. As board members, they represent port users.
The MPA board consists of seven members – one each appointed by the federal, provincial and municipal and four appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Federal Transport Minister of Transport in consultation with the Port's Users Committee.
The other board members are Chair Marie-Claude Boisvert, Vice Chair Marc Y. Bruneau, Eric Simard, and Germain Thibault, and Donna Gates.

Saint John: Thomas O’Neil Named to Port Authority Board
Thomas O’Neil has been appointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of Port Saint John.
Mr. O’Neil is a lawyer with the law firm McInnes Cooper in Saint John. His practice focuses on complex disputes involving commercial, corporate, construction and products liability. He is also a professional engineer. Mr. O’Neil is past chair of Board for Service New Brunswick, past chair of Power Commission for the City of Saint John, and past president of the New Brunswick Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers.
The port authority board consists of seven members, including one representative each of the federal, provincial and municipal governments and four – including Mr. O’Neil appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Federal Transport Minister of Transport in consultation with the Port's Users Committee.
The other board members are Chair Philip Brewer, Vice Chair Kathy Craig, Allen Bodechon, Lisa Keenan, Melanie Bell Hughes, and Donna Gates.
