Beaumont Hires Security, Facilities, and Regulatory Compliance Director
Randal Ogrydziak joined the
Port of Beaumont October 2 as director of security, facilities, and regulatory compliance.
The newly retired Coast Guard captain comes to the port with 38 years of experience leading large, operationally complex, integrated military, law enforcement, and emergency management organizations.
Most recently, he served as commanding officer of Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Port Arthur from July 2014 thru June 2017. As Captain of the Port, Officer In-Charge of Marine Inspections, Federal Maritime Security Coordinator, and Federal On-scene Coordinator, he directed all maritime safety, security, and environmental response missions throughout South East Texas and South West Louisiana.
Earlier, he served as deputy commander of Coast Guard Sector-Air Station Corpus Christi, supervisor of the Coast Guard’s Liquefied Gas Carrier National Center of Expertise in Port Arthur, and Chief of Response and Security Executive Officer of Marine Safety Unit Port Arthur.
He enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1979 and graduated from Officer Candidate School in 1990.

Monica Newhouse-Rodriguez and Michael Browning Appointed Indiana Port Commissioners
Governor Eric J. Holcomb recently appointed Monica Newhouse-Rodriguez and Michael Browning to the
Ports of Indiana Commission. Ms. Newhouse-Rodriguez is managing principal of Newhouse and Associates, a national airport consulting firm which provides airport planning, capital management and development services. Mr. Browning is the former president and CEO, and now chairman of the board, for Browning Investments, the largest developer of industrial distribution facilities in central Indiana.
Ms. Newhouse-Rodriguez currently manages transportation and planning issues for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Miami International Airport. She has previously worked with the Sacramento County Airport System, the Houston Airport System, Chicago's O'Hare International Airport as well as San Diego International Airport.
She received a bachelor's degree in aerospace from Middle Tennessee University and an MBA in information decision sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She sits on the board of directors of World Business Partners and Associates for Airports Council International-North America.
Mr. Browning has been chairman of the board for Browning Investments since 2013 and was the company's president and CEO from 1981 to 2013. The Indianapolis-based real estate development company's portfolio includes large industrial parks and several downtown office buildings. He also serves as a board member and lead director of Duke Energy Corp. and the Indianapolis Indians.
Previously, he served on the boards of Conseco Inc., Emmis Broadcasting Inc., the Seattle Mariners Baseball Club, and the Indiana National Bank, and was chairman and president of the Fidelity Bank of Indiana. He holds a BS degree from the University of Notre Dame, and honorary doctorates from Marian University and Martin University.
The Ports of Indiana Commission is a seven-member, bipartisan board appointed by the governor to staggered four-year terms to oversee the state’s public ports – Burns Harbor on Lake Michigan and Ohio River ports at Mount Vernon and Jeffersonville.
The other commissioners are: Ken Kaczmarek (chairman); Greg L. Gibson (vice chairman), Jay Potesta (secretary/treasurer) Marvin Ferguson, Christine H. Keck, and Miriam Robeson.

Mark Price Named Port Longview Marine Terminals Director
Mark Price is joining the
Port of Longview as director of marine terminals. He will manage cargo operations and strive to ensure that port facilities operate at high volume. He will also work with the business development department to establish marketing cargo strategies aimed at securing new maritime opportunities and expanding the port’s customer base.
He brings to the position with more than 20 years’ waterfront experience across the Pacific Northwest, most recently as manager of Kinder Morgan’s operations in Portland, Longview and Vancouver (WA). He has also been employed by International Container Terminal Services, Inc., Ports America, Cargill, and Marine Terminals Corp. He holds a BS degree in geography from the University of Oregon.
"Mark is an outstanding addition to our team," said Chief Executive Officer Norm Krehbiel. "His experience and knowledge of Northwest ports provides valuable input to our operations and business development."

Pascagoula: Scott Corlew Joins Jackson County Port Authority Board
Pascagoula attorney Scott Corlew was sworn in October 10 as a member to the board of commissioners of the Jackson County Port Authority, the governing agency of the
Port of Pascagoula. Appointed by Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant, he replaces former Commissioner Jimmy Colmer, who resigned in July.
The Pascagoula native graduated from the University of Mississippi and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He has extensive trial experience in all courts in Mississippi both state and federal and has tried numerous cases both civil and criminal. He is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts in Mississippi.
Mr. Corlew serves on the Fee Dispute Resolution Committee for the Mississippi Bar Association and is a past board member of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a past president of the Jackson County Bar Association. He is also active in civic and church organizations.
Five of the port authority’s nine commissioners are appointed by the Jackson County Board of Supervisors and four by the governor of Mississippi.
Charles M. Persons is the board president. Other commissioners are Benny Lassiter (vice president), Pamela Lindsey (secretary), Drew Allen, Wallace Easley, Marisa J. Jackson, Marshall Smith, and Greg Williams.

Seattle Promotes Stephanie Jones Stebbins to Managing Director, Maritime Division
The
Port of Seattle has promoted Stephanie Jones Stebbins to managing director of its maritime division. In her new role, Ms. Jones Stebbins is responsible for directing the strategic and daily operations of cruise operations, fishing and commercial operations, recreational marinas, marine maintenance, and industrial properties.
"Stephanie Jones Stebbins has proven herself a strategic and agile leader in moving policy priorities forward here at the Port of Seattle," said Interim Executive Director Dave Soike. "She will bring these qualities to her new role as maritime director."
The port notes her "deep policy and planning experience leading to positive and innovative outcomes, handling operational projects, along with interfacing at a policy and negotiation level with the City of Seattle and Seaport Alliance customers and stakeholders."
Ms. Jones Stebbins joined the port in 1999 as a seaport planner and subsequent served a project manager, manager of seaport strategic and facility and for the past four years as director of seaport environmental.
Her degrees include a BS in civil and environmental engineering from Duke University and a master’s in regional planning from the University of North Carolina. She spent three years in the Peace Corps and worked as a planner and a consulting engineer before coming to the port.
