UPDATE 22: Captain of the Port to establish a transit plan to afford recreational vessels the opportunity for transit through the Key Bridge Response Safety Zone, Sunday

The Captain of the Port (COTP) has announced a new transit plan for recreational vessels through the Key Bridge Response Safety Zone this Sunday. Vessel traffic will be managed in one-way intervals: outbound transits are scheduled from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and inbound from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Mariners are required to follow strict navigational rules, stay within designated channels, and obey directions from patrol vessels, with updates available through VHF Channels 16 and 81A.

UPDATE 20: Authorities identify sixth victim recovered in the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge

Unified Command salvage teams, in cooperation with the Maryland Department of State Police and other agencies, have located and identified the sixth victim from the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, José Mynor López, 37, of Baltimore. This recovery marks a somber point in the ongoing efforts to address the aftermath of the tragedy that claimed the lives of six construction workers. State authorities and mental health professionals continue to work closely with the families of the victims, providing necessary support during this difficult time.
