Carolyn Diedrich, the longest-serving employee at the Port of Everett, has retired after nearly 44 years, having managed the port's finances for over four decades. Taking her place as Assistant Controller is Mallory Good, who brings 12 years of experience in accounting management and financial systems. The Port of Portland will discontinue container service at Terminal 6 starting October 1, 2024. Despite significant efforts to create a sustainable model, a critical third-party lease did not materialize. The Port of Corpus Christi moved 48.9 million tons of cargo in the first quarter of 2024, reflecting a slight decrease of just over 1% compared to last year's first quarter. While crude oil and agricultural shipments rose, declines in refined products and LNG shipments offset these gains. CEO Kent Britton noted ongoing infrastructure improvements, including the Corpus Christi Ship Channel Improvement Project and upgrades to several docks, that will strengthen the port's capacity and continue driving regional prosperity.
