Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. has completed a significant upgrade at Port Liberty in New York, enhancing the lift height of three STS cranes by 8.6 meters and extending their outreach by 5 meters. This upgrade, part of Liebherr Transform, allows the port to handle larger vessels more efficiently. Using a patented jacking system, the process was completed swiftly with minimal disruption to terminal operations. Footage of the transformation is available on Liebherr Maritime's social media channels.

The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority has achieved a significant milestone with the financing of its 100th project through the Northwest Ohio Bond Fund. This $8 million investment supports the construction of a liquid transloading facility at the Port of Toledo’s General Cargo Dock, operated by Midwest Terminals. Since its inception in 1988, the Bond Fund has provided $446 million in financing, contributing to the creation and retention of over 8,700 jobs. The Bond Fund, the first municipal bond fund in Ohio, recently received an “A” rating from S&P Global Ratings, reflecting its robust investment and zero default rate.
