The Port of Hueneme will use its newly awarded $12.3 million TIGER grant for deepening and strengthening wharfs and berths, modernizing cargo infrastructure, and constructing on-dock rail improvements. The Port of San Diego has been awarded $10 million TIGER by the U.S. Department of Transportation for maritime cargo terminal redevelopment. Slated improvements include removing obsolete transit sheds and constructing new, open laydown area for temporary equipment storage with on-dock rail improvements.
Carnival Corporation & plc celebrated the opening of its new Amber Cove cruise port in the Dominican Republic with a ceremony on November 2.
