The Port of Bellingham has received a clean audit from the Washington State Auditor’s Office. The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners has approved a $748 million budget for the Port of Long Beach in the fiscal year that begins October 1, 2017. More than 60 percent is earmarked for capital projects. The FY 2017-18 budget approved by the Redwood City Port Commission projects operating revenues of $7.9 million and includes $8 million for capital projects.

Latitude Development LLC has begun construction on the first of two new buildings located within the Port of Everett’s Riverside Business Park. Building A with mezzanine is a 102,500-square-foot manufacturing and office facility, and is fully leased to Northwest Aerospace Technologies. The Port of San Diego is entering agreements for four pilot projects that will assist in the creation, development and scaling of new business ventures on San Diego Bay that focus on aquaculture and blue technology.

The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners on June 26 approved the selection of Stacey Lewis as director of human resources services for the Port of Long Beach. The appointment is effective July 1. On the recommendation of Federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau, Canada’s Governor General in Council has appointed Hélène Lauzon and Johanne Lépine to the board of directors of the Montreal Port Authority for terms of three and two years, respectively. Donnell Jackson is the new media relations manager for the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans. Thomas O’Neil has been appointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of Port Saint John.
