Port Canaveral has partnered with the Florida Power and Light (FPL) SolarNow™ program to plant solar trees at key locations at the Port where visitors can plug in, charge their devices, and enjoy the much-needed shade. The Port of Long Beach, Southern California Edison and the California Energy Commission today launched the nation’s largest pilot project for zero-emissions cranes and other cargo-handling equipment for seaports. Port of Seattle Commissioners created its 2018 Energy and Sustainability Committee and identified its top environmental priorities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and further innovative collaborations to protect the air and water quality of surrounding communities. Air pollution related to Port of Tacoma operations has decreased significantly since 2005.
 
Port of Corpus Christi Emergency Manager, Danielle Hale, received recognition as NOAA StormReady Hero. The Port of Grays Harbor announced that Mike Folkers will be joining the senior management team as the new Director of Finance and Administration. JAXPORT welcomed Justin Damiano as the new Director of Government Affairs.
