The Port of Hueneme celebrated its 7th Annual Banana Festival. The festival showcased the port’s significant reach around the world in international commerce and highlighted the port’s commitment to environmental stewardship and humanitarian work in Guatemala. The Port of Long Beach and the Arts Council for Long Beach announced the winners of the sixth annual PHOTO competition.

The Port of Oakland experienced the busiest September for import cargo in its 91-year history. The Port of South Louisiana district handled over 77 million short tons transferred via 1,126 vessels and 15,910 barges in the second quarter, an increase of 7 percent from the first quarter.

JAXPORT welcomed the Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) next-generation car carrier Orca Ace during the vessel’s maiden call to Jacksonville. Port Tampa Bay and cold storage tenant, Port Logistics Refrigerated Services, received their first shipment of Costa Rican pineapples. Pacific International Lines’ Kota Pekarang arrived at The Northwest Seaport Alliance’s North Harbor making its maiden voyage to Seattle.

Port Everglades is hosting a public information meeting to introduce the third update to the port’s 20-Year Master/Vision Plan. The Trois-Rivières Port Authority unveiled its On Course for 2030 development plan. This plan is bringing about major changes for the port, its users, the Trois-Rivières community and the region.

The Port of New Orleans will make river cruise history when American Song, the first contemporary riverboat in the U.S., sails its inaugural cruise on the Mississippi River.
