Waterside construction at Port Canaveral’s new state-of-the-art Cruise Terminal 3 is underway and a new 1,309-foot-long berth is will take shape with the arrival of the first steel for the bulkhead wall. Georgia Port Authority, Gov. Nathan Deal, the Greater Hall Chamber and Norfolk Southern Railroad announced plans to make Hall County the site of the GPA’s next inland port.

Port Everglades has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Honduras National Port Authority (Empresa Nacional Portuaria de Honduras), as part of its Sister Seaport Program. Honduras is the port’s largest trading partner by volume, number one in total TEUs. Members of the Port of San Diego’s Harbor Police Dive Rescue Team have returned from their second training mission to the province of Batangas, located in the Philippines. Five dive team members led by Lt. Chris Woodward presented an eight-day course in Underwater Crime Scene Investigations. Port Tampa Bay will be added to COSCO Shipping’s Gulf of Mexico Express (GME) Transpacific service.

The Port of Nanaimo, in partnership with GT Hiring Solutions and Work BC Employment Services Centre, coordinated Port Connect, an event designed to link students and people of all ages with contacts in the marine industry for possible employment.
