The Port of Brownsville and the Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railway received the Railroad of the Year Award after capping off a record-breaking year in 2018 for the movement of carloads. North Carolina Portsthird neo-Panamax crane arrived to the Port of Wilmington. The Zhen Hua 25 arrived to the port following a three-month journey from Shanghai, China. The Northwest Seaport Alliance Managing Members voted to approve lease agreements and authorize construction on the Terminal 5 Modernization Program, readying it to return to use as a premier international container terminal.

The Port of Halifax 2019 cruise season officially started April 8 at 9:30 a.m. with the arrival of Marina, an Oceania Cruises vessel, at Pier 31. Massport joined Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, local elected officials and members of the South Boston community to kick off the 2019 Cruise Season and celebrate the economic impact that the maritime industry has across the state.
