Bulletin 24-6 Updates: Changes to Storage and Packaging Standards and 15th Edition Crosswalk Revision
Bulletin 24-6 has been revised to update the implementation date for changes to storage temperatures and packaging requirements. The new date is January 31, 2027, aligning with the 15th edition of the Standards for Tissue Banking. Additionally, the crosswalk between the 14th and 15th editions of Standards has been updated and is available on the AATB website in Bulletin 24-6: Entering a Six-Month Preparatory Period on July 31, 2024.
Updated Uniform DRAI for Child Donors
AATB has updated the Uniform DRAI for Child Donors (≤ 12 years old). Question 29f, which asked, "Were they a person who has received medication for a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia?" has been removed, and the remaining questions have been renumbered accordingly.
