AATB NEWS
AATB Participates in FDA Workshop on Risk-Based HCT/P Framework
AATB recently participated in the FDA’s public workshop, “Cell Therapies and Tissue-Based Products: A Public Workshop on Generating Scientific Evidence to Facilitate Development”, held on February 25, 2025. During “Session 5: Considerations for a Revised Risk-Based HCT/P Framework,” AATB’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Melissa Greenwald shared insights on the opportunity for a revised regulatory pathway to drive innovation, reduce regulatory burden for tissue banks, and improve efficiency for the agency in regulating certain 351 HCT/Ps, while still maintaining safety requirements. Following the workshop, AATB submitted comments to a public docket opened by FDA. The comments and slides are now available on the AATB website under Government Advocacy Correspondence.
