Join an AATB Council and Vote in the Upcoming Election
The AATB biennial election for 2024-2026 Council Officers will open June 3. In order to participate in these elections, you must be an AATB member currently serving on a council. If you are not currently a member of one of AATB’s eight councils and would like to join, or if you would like to change your council affiliation, make sure to do so before May 10 to be eligible to participate in the election.
FDA Amending Its In Vitro Diagnostic Products Regulations, Phasing Out Enforcement Discretion
The FDA is issuing a final rule to amend its regulations to make explicit that IVDs are devices under the FD&C Act including when the manufacturer of the IVD is a laboratory. Accordingly, the Agency is phasing out enforcement discretion for laboratory developed tests. The rule’s scheduled publication date is May 6, 2024.
