Orgill, Inc. has announced that members of its Veteran Executive Team will have new responsibilities beginning January, 2019. Ron Beal, Orgill’s long-time Chairman, President and CEO, will drop the president title, but remains the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Brett and Eric add their years of experience in finding the best ways to support these efforts.” Beal adds that this plan has been in the works for several years, and is part of an ongoing process designed to both provide for an orderly succession among Orgill’s management team and to maintain Orgill’s position among the most innovative companies in the industry. “I am extremely humbled to be part of Orgill’s dynamic and dedicated team in this new role.” Moore says. “I look forward to continuing to work closely with Ron, Eric, Brett and the entire Orgill team to carry on Orgill’s long history of customer-centric service to independent home improvement retailers.
Lowe’s Canada is proud to announce that its National Lowe’s Canada Heroes Campaign has raised $1.1 million. Throughout September, every Lowe’s, RONA, and Reno-Depot corporate store in the country collected donations to help local non-profit organizations or public schools of their choosing fulfill their missions or carry out specific projects. Lowe’s Canada matched 50 percent of all funds raised through the in-store campaign, up to a maximum of $2,000 per store. All funds raised in-store, along with matching corporate donations, are being donated to more than 260 community organizations. “We are grateful that our employees and customers across the country came together again this year to help people love where they live,” said Jean-Sébastien Lamoureux, Senior Vice-President, Communications, Public Affairs and Compliance at Lowe’s Canada. “With all our corporate stores participating for the first time, our Heroes Campaign extended its support to even more community organizations and projects that our employees feel strongly about.
