General Management – Global Leader Program

Full Time:  Develop into a future enterprise-level leader through three cross-functional rotations across 5 years in our Commercial, Strategy, and Operations functions, including a global experience/rotation.

Internship: During a 10-12 week project-based experience, interns will deliver results on a strategically important project, focused in one of three functional areas – Commercial, Operations, or Strategy. Interns engage and develop with the collective internship group, program participants and executive leadership to create a well-rounded summer experience. The internship experience is based at Whirlpool’s Global and North American Headquarters locations in Benton Harbor, MI. The summer internship is a required step to be eligible for the full-time rotational program for external candidates. 

What we look for: 

• Progression toward completion of a Masters in Business Administration
• 5-7 years of professional experience in a variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to, marketing, sales, strategy, operations, and consulting
• Strong demonstration of people leadership, teamwork skills and delivering results through strategy execution

Sales – Real Whirled Sales Program

Full Time:  

• 2-3 year immersive and hands-on sales development program
• 10-12 weeks of immersive training: participants reside in a unique residential center with their entire Real Whirled class (up to 8)
• One rotation in Sales Execution within a sales territory and one rotation in Market Development
• Up to three cohorts a year (typically in January, July, and October)

What we look for: 

• Bachelor’s in sales, marketing or relevant discipline
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Proven work experience or internship in sales, marketing, or relevant discipline
• Strong public speaking, facilitation and influencing skills 
• A proven track record of success demonstrated through the articulation of quantitative and qualitative results
• Must be relocatable to any metropolitan location in the Continental United States
• Open to mobility back to Whirlpool Corporate offices in Benton Harbor, MI

Undergraduate – Global Information Technology Immersion

Internship:A 10-12 week project-based summer experience, located in Benton Harbor, MI. GIT Cyber Security interns contribute directly to the success of our Global IT and Cybersecurity function through strategically important projects. Interns deliver results on initiatives and create tools and resources that live on at Whirlpool Corporation, even after the internship concludes. Successful completion of the internship experience makes participants eligible for full-time roles in the Cybersecurity function upon graduation. 

What we look for: 

• Undergraduate students completing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology with an emphasis or personal interest in Cybersecurity
• This can include certifications or experience in Cybersecurity Awareness, Risk/Governance, Identity and Access Management, Security Architecture/Engineering, Threat Surface Reduction, and Threat Intelligence & Monitoring
• Strong candidates have a passion for technology and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts at a high level

Full Time: Manufacturing is at the heart of what we do at Whirlpool Corporation. This 3-year program is designed to provide three 12 month rotations with challenging, diverse assignments and experiences, focused on delivering excellence across our manufacturing organization, while focusing on our World Class Manufacturing methodology. Rotations can be in areas such as Assembly Operations, Support Operations, Materials, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, Engineering, and Supervision/Team Leadership.

Internship: Summer program based at one of our U.S. Manufacturing facilities 

What we look for:

• Passionate about manufacturing
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical and/or Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Operations/Operations Management, or other Engineering discipline
• Geographical mobility/flexibility
• Previous internship or co-op experience working in a similar environment or company of similar size to Whirlpool
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment

Product Engineering – Whirlpool Engineering Rotational Development Program (WERLD)

Full Time:WERLD is focused on developing a strong engineering foundation in order to prepare participants for the variety of career paths available within Whirlpool’s Global Product Organization. Program participants benefit from impactful assignments, global team projects, integrated training, and formal coaching and mentoring programs throughout the 2.5 year program.

Internship: Summer program at the Whirlpool Technology Centers in Benton Harbor, MI

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science or relevant engineering field
• Ability to apply engineering theory to practical problems and demonstrated technical ability through project work
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts at a high level and in depth

Supply Chain – Global Supply Chain Leadership Development Program

Full Time: 3.5 Year Rotational Program where you source, build and deliver our products through rotations in the following spaces: Manufacturing (9 months – PM, 9 – months Supervisor), Supply Chain (12 months), and Procurement (12 months). Based in Benton Harbor, MI & U.S. Manufacturing Plants.

Internship:Summer program (Supply Chain & Procurement Exp.) based in Benton Harbor, MI

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Integrated Supply Management or Applied Engineering Sciences
• Previous internship or co-op experience working in a similar environment or company of similar size/scope to Whirlpool within supply chain, procurement or manufacturing
• Strong analytical skills, detail orientation and statistical applications knowledge
