Open to residents, businesses, institutions, nonprofits and government entities, the Conserve Georgia Awards recognize outstanding achievements in the conservation of energy, land, water, the improvement of air quality, and promotion of recycling and waste reduction.
To be eligible for an award, achievements must have been made in the last 12 months in Georgia, clearly define the motivation for the project or program, and submit the application in the proper format by August 30, 2010.
There are six award categories, which include: Water Conservation, Energy Conservation, Air Quality, Land Conservation, Recycling and Waste Reduction, and Natural Resource Stewardship. Award entry forms are available at Conserve Georgia’s website, www.ConserveGeorgia.org.
The Natural Leaders Awards will be held on October 6 at the Loudermilk Center in downtown Atlanta. The event will be hosted by the Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia, an active partner of Conserve Georgia.
