Coast 2 Coast RX Drug Card is one of ACCG’s newest preferred partners. This prescription drug card program offers significant discounts on prescriptions filled by local retailers and other medical services.

The Coast2Coast Program offers the following benefits to counties:

• Program requires absolutely no county staff or resources to implement.
• County will receive a royalty, $1.25/filled prescription, based on the use of the card.
• Use of the card reduces the cost of providing indigent care.
• Users of the card typically purchase additional items at local pharmacies, keeping the sales in the local economy.
• Increased purchases result in additional local sales tax revenue to fund other public services

Who can benefit from the Program: the uninsured, underinsured, those with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or high deductibles, those who have not reached their annual deductible, Medicare D recipients (Coverage Gap - Donut Hole) and those with insurance when: medications are not included in their insurance company’s formularies, benefits do not extend to lifestyle medications, the policy does not cover prescriptions while in another state or the policy does not cover medications for pre-existing conditions.

Cards are available to anyone, no income restrictions apply and users will receive the following benefits:

• A TOTALLY FREE  prescription discount program with discounts on more than 60,000 name-brand and generic Rx medications. Many nonprescription, specialty and lifestyle medications are also included.
• Typical national savings per prescription is $26 each month, about 24 percent of Coast2Coast cardholders save 70 percent or more.
• Accepted at all major chains and 95 percent of the independent pharmacies.
• Savings of up to:
  • 50 percent on dental services
  • 10-50 percent on vision services
  • 35 percent on hearing needs
  • 25 percent on veterinary services
  • 50-80 percent on lab services and imaging tests
  • 50 percent discount of retail diabetic testing supplies
