Meet the ACCG Fall Interns

Kevin Fitzgerald, a third-year law student at Emory, and Alex Domaleski, a master’s candidate in criminal justice at Georgia State University, interned with ACCG during the fall semester. Fitzgerald and Domaleski assisted the legal and policy teams with research projects during their tenure.
Fitzgerald previously clerked for ACCG during the summer semester. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and will receive his juris doctorate from Emory Law in May. After completion of his clerkship in December, Fitzgerald will be focusing on his upcoming wedding to his fiancé, Christy, in January. During his tenure with ACCG, Fitzgerald has assisted the legal department by completing deed research, working on a contract system project, reviewing publications, conducting legal research, helping to prepare legal documents, and other legal tasks as assigned.
Alex Domaleski began her internship as a policy and research intern with ACCG in September. She received her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from Georgia State University and will complete her master’s in criminal justice in May. Domaleski also serves on the Graduate Student Association’s Executive Board as the secretary and volunteers with several non-profits such as the Royal Animal Refuge and The Promise Place. Over the course of her internship, she has assisted the policy and research staff by researching jail fund ordinances for counties, surveying counties about fees on tax bills, tracking local complete count committees for the 2020 Census, compiling and analyzing city and county millage rate and LOST data, and other research tasks as assigned. Upon completing her internship, Domaleski will start her job as a full-time policy analyst for Fayette County. |
