The 2021 GTA-hosted virtual Technology Summit set for May 5 will explore broadband projects and programs the state has been developing in the last year to expand connectivity to unserved residents and businesses, to develop accurate data, maps and tools to assist local governments, and to launch the state broadband grant program.

Experts will address Georgia broadband topics including:
  • Expanded connectivity options for school districts and their students: Governor Kemp funded projects that DOE, DCA and GTA developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Georgia’s broadband program data, maps and tools: Resources for local governments to evaluate and plan broadband expansion projects and grant applications.
  • State broadband grant program workshop: What local governments and providers need to know to apply.
  • Also, remote work today and beyond: Four short talks on the proliferation of remote work.
This ninth-annual summit will be of special interest to local government leaders as well as broadband providers. Speakers will help you understand funding initiatives to expand broadband availability in Georgia, broadband data and tools to assist local government initiatives and how to develop a successful state broadband grant application. There'll be virtual networking opportunities mixed in between presentations.
