Opportunity for 2022 Employee Safety Grants

Eligible members of the ACCG Workers’ Compensation Program may soon apply for their portion of the $500,000 in 2022 Employee Safety Grants. The application period is being moved up and begins February 1, 2022.
 
This grant program was authorized by the ACCG Workers’ Compensation Board of Trustees to provide financial assistance to program members for the purpose of reducing employees’ work-related injuries. Funds can be used for additional training, equipment, or services. Eligible members are active members at the time of the distribution who have earned the 2022 Safety Discount and are current on their contributions (premiums) to the program.
 
More information about the grants will be emailed to members later in January, including a one-page application and the simple requirements. Applications will be accepted between February 1, 2022 and May 31, 2022 with all purchases to be made by September 1, 2022. Examples of eligible requests include:  personal protective equipment, body armor, fire department turnout gear or washers/dryers for gear, ergo equipment, first aid equipment such as AEDs, and fees for safety-related courses.
