ACCG welcomes spring semester policy and research interns, Jenyla Brown and Daniel Mois. Brown and Mois are both recent graduates of Valdosta State University (VSU). They will assist the policy and research staff with special projects, bill analysis, general and local bill tracking, guidebook and database updates, surveys, and research during the 2023 legislative session. Notable projects include updating base year tax exemption research, compiling affordable housing data, analyzing EMS zone information, and preparing visual guides for several county government datasets.
Jenyla graduated from VSU with a B.S. in political science and minor in journalism. Jenyla is dedicated to criminal justice reform and minority politics, as she has independently conducted and presented research for state, national, and international conferences. Prior to joining ACCG, Jenyla focused on environmental policy and communications in the Office of U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff. Additionally, she served as a legislative intern for the Georgia General Assembly in the offices of GA Sen. Randy Robertson and Sen. Greg Dolezal.
Daniel Mois graduated from VSU with a B.S. in political science. During his time at VSU, Mois was part of the Model UN team for two years, where he won multiple position paper awards for the VSU delegation, and also co-chaired the VSU Mock Trial his senior year. During his junior year, Mois interned for the Georgia Senate Rules Committee during the spring of 2021 and for Congressman Austin Scott’s Office during the summer of 2021. He has since worked on multiple state and federal campaigns across Georgia and plans to complete a master’s in public policy. His future goals are to become a policy analyst and lobbyist.
