GFC Reaches Notable Milestone

The Georgia Forestry Commission’s Law Enforcement Division has marked a notable milestone. Employees statewide have helped recover more than $1 million for landowners filing timber transaction complaints. The majority of funds recovered have been for non-payment of timber harvested/delivered, as well as theft cases and trespass complaints. The GFC has a Timber Hotline callers can use too report criminal forestry activity, timber theft, or arson fires, at 1-(800) GA-TREES (428-7337).
