On Nov. 15, 2024, the Board of Trustees of the ACCG – Group Self-Insurance Workers’ Compensation Fund (GSIWCF) voted to return a dividend of $4.5 million to those members who renew their membership for 2025.

The dividend is designed to reward long-term membership in the Fund and will be in the form of a contribution credit to those members who have been in the program since 2015. The credit will be applied to the 2025 contribution and reduce the average member’s estimated annual contribution by 14%.  Since the Fund’s inception in 1982, approximately $124 million has been returned to the membership in the form of premium credits, employee safety and online law enforcement driver training grants, and cash returns from underwriting and investment income.

ACCG – GSIWCF, a member-owned insurance fund, provides workers’ compensation coverage specifically for Georgia counties and authorities. McDuffie County Commissioner Fred Favors serves as Chairman of the ACCG – GSIWCF Board of Trustees. The Fund currently has 167 members, consisting of 133 counties and 34 authorities.
