ACCG FIREFIGHTERS’ CANCER BENEFIT PROGRAM: ANOTHER RATE DECREASE

The 2025 renewals for the ACCG-IRMA Firefighters’ Cancer Benefit Program will reflect rate reductions of 5% on Critical Illness coverage and 15% on Long-Term Disability coverage (if purchased). This is a net rate decrease of 7% for the two coverages combined.
In early December, each member will receive their proposal, invoice, and a Summary of Benefits to post in a prominent location for the benefit of the firefighters and the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council compliance auditors.
Any Firefighters Leaving the Fire Service?
As a reminder, any eligible firefighter in this program departing from service has a right to continue coverage at their own expense. They must enroll with The Hartford within 31 days of separation.
