On Oct. 14, a coalition of groups is sponsoring "Building Schools, Building Communities – A School Siting Symposium" in Atlanta at the Loudermilk Center. This one-day workshop will bring together various stakeholders to examine factors that influence school siting decisions in Georgia and the Southeast.

The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation is seeking nominations for its 2012 Preservation Awards, an annual list of preservation projects and individuals in the state who have made significant contributions to the field of historic preservation.
