As we head into the 2015 legislative session, it is now time to update the County Legislative Coordinator (CLC) Network. The Georgia Dirt & Gravel Road Workshops will take place on Nov. 13 in Jesup/Wayne County, Ga., and Nov. 14 in Richmond Hill/Bryan County, Ga. These workshops are designed to teach new concepts for maintaining unpaved roads with an emphasis on protecting water quality. All county managers/administrators, public works directors, engineers, and road supervisors are encouraged to attend.

The University of Georgia Extension will host income tax courses for experienced tax professionals. The UGA Extension Tax Schools are IRS Approved Continuing Education Providers. Courses will cover topics such as ethics, foreign tax issues and agriculture tax issues. Attendees will qualify to receive 16 hours of continuing education credit.

The University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government and the Georgia Department of Revenue developed an online, self-study course, Board of Equalization Update 2014, which fulfills the 8-hour annual continuing education requirement for members who serve on boards of equalization.
