Gwinnett County now offers its residents the Coast2Coast discount prescription drug card program. According to Coast2Coast, the program has saved cardholders throughout the nation an average of 60 percent on the cost of prescription drugs. With the Coast2Coast discount prescription card, all county residents, regardless of age or health status, now have the opportunity to save on the cost of their medications.

The immigration reporting system for this year's reporting period is now open. The 2014 reporting period is from December 1, 2013 - November 30, 2014. Each county must submit its report to the Department of Audits and Accounts (DOAA) by December 31.

First Lady Sandra Deal is calling on county commissioners to nominate a local youth for the 2015 Servant's Heart Award. Nominees must be between the ages of 12 and 18 and demonstrate sustained commitment to meeting community needs. Nominations are due on Wednesday, January 7.

The ACCG Civic Affairs Foundation is now accepting grant applications for the 2015 summer Georgia County Internship Program (GCIP). All ACCG member counties are eligible. The grant will be awarded for the period of May 1, 2015 - September 1, 2015. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, January 7.

The ACCG Group Self-Insurance Workers' Compensation Fund (ACCG-GSIWCF) Board of Trustees recently announced a rate decrease and a dividend return for its members. The Board voted to decrease member rates by 1.2 percent for 2015 and return a dividend of $3.5 million to those who renew their membership for 2015.
