ACCG is happy to partner with the Georgia Municipal Association on an upcoming series of five workshops across the state on telecommunications issues currently facing Georgia’s local governments. Topics will include the technology and equipment needed to provide wireless and fiber broadband to both urban and rural areas; current telecom law; franchise and right-of-way (ROW) agreements; and federal and state efforts to preempt local government management of the ROW. The solicitation period for 2019 Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) projects is now open. The SRFs provide low-interest financing for publicly-owned water and wastewater projects. Pre-applications for eligible projects will be evaluated for inclusion on the 2019 Clean Water or Drinking Water Intended Use Plan. Pre-applications will be accepted until December 31, 2018.
