Prior to interning with Cobb County, Caroline Johnston, a GIS student at Kennesaw State University, had very limited knowledge about county government operations. Through her GIS internship, Johnston learned about the various services Cobb County provides residents and how the county enhances the lives of residents through service.

The Georgia Local Government Personnel Association (GLGPA) recently held their Spring Conference at the Savannah Riverfront Marriott in Savannah, Georgia on June 11-14, 2019.  During the conference, employees from eight county governments were awarded their Level I Certification as a Certified Human Resources Manager (CHRM) and the Level II Certification as an Advanced Certified Human Resources Manager (ACHRM).

Join the Georgia Archives for a FREE Lunch and Learn event on Friday, August 9. This month's program, will focus on a new exhibit at the Tellus Science Museum called Georgia Stone: Building a Nation.
