Serbian Mine Action Center (SMAC) attains ADCI supporting membership

At the Annual Summit Highlights event hosted by the Serbian Mine Action Center (SMAC) on Monday, December 18, Jovana Sokolovic, ADCI ME Chapter Secretary, presented SMAC with the ADCI Support Membership Certificate. The certificate, graciously bestowed on behalf of Mr. Phil Newsum, Executive Director of the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI), signifies SMAC's official recognition as an ADCI Supporting Member.
During the presentation, Ms. Sokolovic conveyed warm congratulations to SMAC and read a welcoming letter from Mr. Newsum. In his letter, Mr. Newsum celebrated SMAC's new facility, acknowledging them as a valuable addition to the ADCI community.
Mr. Newsum stated, "On behalf of the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI), I want to welcome our new Supporting Member, Serbian Mine Action Center. The Association is impressed with the progressive direction of diving in Serbia, whether it is military, public safety, or commercial."
Expressing hope for the International Consensus Standards for Commercial Diving and Underwater Operations to guide diving practices in Serbia, Mr. Newsum outlined the ADCI's commitment to supporting SMAC and diving stakeholders within the Balkans.
In addition to the congratulations on their ADCI Supporting Membership, SMAC received special commendation for their new state-of-the-art facility. Mr. Newsum expressed his intent to visit the facility on his next trip to Serbia, underscoring the importance of SMAC's contributions to enhancing water safety.
