The ADCI announced its 2018 inductees into the Commercial Diving Hall of Fame as well as its recipients of the ADCI Scholarship award, all of whom will be honored at Underwater Intervention 2018 in New Orleans. Congratulations to Craig Fortenbery and Mike Ward for being inducted into the Commercial Diving Hall of Fame! Congratulations also to Audrey Aitken and Tyler Kleinsasser for being awarded the 2018 ADCI Scholarship Award. We look forward to celebrating all of these achievements at UI.

The finalists for the Offshore Achievement Awards (OAA), which highlight the best talent, performance and innovation in the industry, have been revealed. Over 100 entries were received for this year’s event, with particular interest emerging in the Collaboration, Emerging Technology, Innovator and Young Professional categories.

OceanGate Inc., a provider of manned submersible services and 2G Robotics, a global leader in underwater laser scanners, have formed a strategic alliance to capture laser data of the RMS Titanic shipwreck and debris field. 2G Robotics dynamic underwater laser scanner, the ULS-500 PRO, will be installed on OceanGate’s Cyclops 2, the first manned submersible to survey the Titanic since 2005.
