Hurricane Dorian took aim at the Bahamas and the Florida coast on Thursday, spurred on by warm Atlantic waters as it threatens to strengthen into a dangerous Category 3 storm.
 
According to a report by TMR, the global AUV and ROV market is estimated to expand at an impressive 18.2% CAGR vis-à-vis for the forecast period between 2017 and 2025. At this pace, the market will reach a valuation of US$9117.01 mn by the end of 2025 increasing from US$2065.56 mn in 2016.
 
Oil prices were up more than 1% on Wednesday after data showing a steep fall in U.S. crude stockpiles helped ease worries about weakening oil demand caused by the trade war between Washington and Beijing.

Eligibility
This ADCI Scholarship is open to members of the community of all ADCI voting member companies who are current and in good standing with ADCI, with the exception of officers and/or directors of the ADCI Board of Directors or their immediate families. This award is available for any institution of higher learning after high school including universities, colleges, junior colleges, vocational training schools and trade schools.
 
Scholarship recipients will be honored at the Awards Dinner at Underwater Intervention 2020.

Siemens has been awarded a contract to deliver two converter stations for Viking Link, the first high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) interconnection between Great Britain and Denmark. Viking Link interconnector is being jointly developed by National Grid Ventures (Great Britain) and Energinet (Denmark) via National Grid Viking Link and Energinet Eltransmission.
 
JDR will design, manufacture and deliver 78.1 kilometres of aluminium core inter-array cables and a range of cable accessories, including repair joints and connectors. The SeaMade offshore wind farm is located up to 50 kilometres off the coast from Ostend and will integrate two wind sites known as Mermaid and Seastar.
 
Stena Bulk's chief executive and president, Erik Hanell, wrote to India's prime minister, Narendra Modi, in an effort to help secure the release of the UK-flagged tanker ship Stena Impero and its primarily Indian crew members, who have been detained in Iran since mid-July. According to media reports, the owner of the Stena Impero, which was seized by Iran on July 19 with 23 crew aboard, including 18 Indians, has appealed to Modi to negotiate personally with Tehran.

As a part of its coop deal with the U.S. Department of Transportation Maritime Administration (MARAD), Boston-based Sea Machines Robotics has demonstrated its autonomous systems in action on board a Kvichak Marco skimmer boat during events held along the Portland harbor..
 
The vessel has an optimized hull form for improved performance, and the design is intended to be flexible to accommodate different propulsion drive-trains. The vessels currently under construction each utilize different engines; one vessel will be equipped with GE engines, and the other will have EMD engines.
 
The capabilities of SENNEBOGEN’s port specialists were on large display at the recent edition of Bauma, where the firm demonstrated its 875 E Series Hybrid model, featuring the now proven Green Hybrid energy recovery system.
