Global Diving and Salvage was rigging the Samantha J for recovery, more than four years after the 35-foot-long steel-hull tugboat had sank near Nanaimo, British Columbia. The tugboat had run into trouble while towing a woodchip barge, and though no one was hurt, the vessel was lost, sinking 230 feet below the surface.
