INTERNATIONAL NEWS
Crofton Industries hosted former governor and candidate Mitt Romney’s endorsement for President from Michele Bachman on May 3, 2012 at its headquarters in Portsmouth, Va. Crofton Industries was asked by Romney’s campaign to host this significant and national endorsement event due to the company’s long standing history as a force in the Port of Hampton roads Virginia, and the significance of businesses such as Crofton Industries that represent free enterprise and entrepreneurship and what they mean to the United States.

The theme of the addresses of Representative Bachman, our Virginia governor Bob McDonald and Mitt Romney was that of energy and the need for independence from foreign markets and how his campaign will focus upon relaxing regulatory restrictions which currently shackle our ability as a nation to move forward toward energy independence and jobs.

It was a national campaign event and it was very impressive in the way that the former governor and candidate engaged with the some 600 people who were present at the facility.

Eric Roth is a different sort of person, in many ways – and very good role model for young people contemplating jobs in offshore oil and gas.
Dream #1: He would somehow work every job there was on oil and gas rigs while still in his 20′s, learning the various trades as much as possible before he decided on one for long term.
Dream #2: Save his money, also very different for people that age.
Dream #3: Go to all sorts of technical classes, despite having to pay his own way. And voila!

Researchers from the U.S. Navy have started to explore a rare Curtiss SB2C Helldiver wreck from the 1940s that was found in December off the Florida coast. "I really feel like, finally, we're going to find out who belonged to that airplane and if somebody is in it," said diver Randy Jordan, who discovered the wreck, to the local KPLC News. "I was starting to lose hope we were going to find out too much about it. It's in 185 feet of water." A data plate was recovered from the airplane's tail on Thursday, which may lead to a positive identification of the aircraft and help to uncover details about the final flight and the fate of the crew.
