Learning from the Past: The History of Smokey Hollow and Where We Are TodayPrint this Article | Send to Colleague 'Hear the history of this African American Community in Tallahassee' Wednesday, March 26, 3:30-7:30 p.m. Blueprint2000 will be co-hosting this evening event with the Tallahassee Trust and the John G. Riley Center to present the Smokey Hollow HALS project and give a tour of the Smokey Hollow Commemoration in Cascades Park. This is a community and family social event, featuring local entertainers/musicians and refreshments provided by the Tallahassee Trust and Blueprint 2000. • 3:30 p.m. – Visitors review the Smokey Hollow Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS). • 5:30 p.m. – Speakers David Driapsa , ASLA, Jennifer Koslow, Ph. D., and Anthony Dixon, Ph.D. present Smokey Hollow HALS findings. • 6:30 p.m. – Tours of the Smokey Hollow Commemoration at Cascades Park. |
