Also, congratulations to President Rinner who is the recipient of the Iowa State University College of Design 2017 Design Achievement Award! She will travel to Ames, IA, after the Los Angeles annual meeting to receive the award.

Board of Landscape Architecture in Florida (BOLA) is responsible for licensing and regulating landscape architects. Individuals or companies that would like to offer continuing education courses to licensed landscape architects need to become a provider and obtain board approval (other requirements are listed on Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s website - DBPR). Once an approved provider, they can then submit their course(s) for approval. Once approved, they will receive a course number(s) and can then offer them to landscape architects.

The CCNA process requires adherence with specific procedures during the procurement process. These procedures include:

In 2013, the National Park Service initiated a series of conversations about the types of landscapes listed in the National Register of Historic Place with guidance on nominating landscapes and the issues (challenges) with landscape documentation and evaluation. These conversations were held via webinars and became the essence of the National Register Landscape Initiative (NRLI). An early consensus was reached among the participants that resulted in a strategy for revising, updating, and augmenting guidance for landscape nominations in the existing National Register.
