The beginning of a fresh new year is always the time we set new goals and make new resolutions. We landscape architects, being naturally talented at planning and organizing, are certain to create elaborate designs in our minds for how we anticipate our 2018 to evolve.

All ASLA Members with ten or more continuous years of Full Membership are eligible for Fellowship in the Society. The Florida Chapter Fellows Committee wants to know if you believe you are electable to the ASLA Council of Fellows.

Upcoming Service Day! If you are looking to start the new year by giving back, Rebuilding Together - Broward County is hosting an event and looking for volunteers for Saturday January 13th. ASLA was notified of the event and hoping some local Landscape Architects can participate. As Landscape Architects, we can help to make Fort Lauderdale better, one block at a time.

Allied Kitchen and Bath is hosting a multi-industry Social in their new outdoor showroom design center. The Broward Section of Florida ASLA is inviting folks from Miami, FIU, and Palm Beach Sections to join us on Thursday January 18th @ 6-8pm for a Winter Social sponsored by AKB. The event is a mixer with the American Society of Interior Designers and IFDA (International Furnishings and Design Association) of Florida.

Please join the Florida ASLA Orlando Section for the first 2018 installment of our favorite social series, First Thursdays: a monthly gathering to celebrate our profession, meet new friends, and share our work and unique office cultures! Each month will be hosted by a different firm in the Orlando area.
This month we’ll be featuring VHB, with drinks and snacks provided by Kompan. This FREE event is open to allied professionals as well, so please invite your colleagues. We hope to see you there!

Registration is open for the annual conference of The Alliance for Historic Landscape Preservation, March 14-17, 2018, in Tucson, Arizona. The conference theme this year is "Cultural Crossroads: Heritage Landscapes of the Sonoran Desert."
