Not only was Tyler selected as the recipient of this scholarship; he inspired its very existence. He showed such enthusiasm as a presenter at the Greater Philadelphia Chapter spring meeting that word got back to AHE and we decided he had to be a part of EXCHANGE. Succession planning is and will continue to be a key initiative for AHE over the next few years. We need bright enthusiastic up-and-comers like Tyler to attend the conference, and we thank Tork an Essity brand for generously sponsoring this scholarship.
"It’s extremely rewarding to know that my message resonated at the AHE meeting- I took a risk and tried something different and it worked. I focus on teaching simple behavioral changes that anyone can apply to reduce their overall impact. Teaching sustainable behaviors works best when it’s centered around energy and participation, and if I’m not getting anything back from the audience, I’m in trouble. The group made it easy- they were very engaged, had excellent questions and I felt like I was heard. These are the presentations that stick with me and inspire me to keep going; and I would love to come back to AHE again in the future!"
