Growth of Value Analysis Programs and Professionals
What a great profession to currently be in as value analysis is on the rise! This year’s AHVAP Annual Conference verified the growth of value Analysis professionals. Membership attendance was up by 39% over last year’s conference, along with an 11% growth in exhibitor sponsorship.
First Annual AHVAP Brooke Berson Award Recipient: Barbara Strain
Brooke Berson was present at the conference to share her value analysis experience and history that led to the first-ever AHVAP Brooke Berson Award. The recipient was Barbara Strain, recognizing her dedication and service to the health care value analysis profession. Laughs, tears and memories were shared with AHVAP attendees for this very well-deserved award for Barbara.
Diverse Speakers/Education
The AHVAP Education and Conference Committees designed the 2019 program in the best interest of all members through an extensive presentation and selection criteria ensuring quality content, learning objectives, creativity and prevention of conflict of interest. The 2019 CVAHP Preparatory Course increased by 11% participants compared to last year. Way to go future CVAHPs!
AHVAP Annual Board Meeting Highlights
2019 President Susan Miller provided an extensive overview of AHVAP’s current and strategic initiatives, along with AHVAP Committee deliverables. This included the 2020 redistricting structure to expand value analysis education and programs, improve networking and regional activities, engage other collaborative synergies and open opportunities for entry-level leadership positions within AHVAP. For the first time this year, the meeting was available live on the web for members who were not in attendance at the Conference.
Product Showcase and Technology Advantages
Forty-eight Supplier Sponsors were engaged in meeting and greeting AHVAP attendees to provide value propositions for their products, technologies and value analysis systems during the Supplier Showcase.
