President’s Message (Sue’s News)
Dear AHVAP Members and Affiliates,
It is hard to believe that one year has already passed since we began facing the challenges brought by COVID-19. AHVAP remains devoted to its members and affiliates by bringing forth continuous value analysis materials and educational sessions to support the evolution of the Value Analysis culture. Our eight AHVAP Committees are strong, excited and dedicated more than ever to ensure that Value Analysis Professionals are obtaining the greatest value for their membership. We have learned a tremendous amount over this past year, and it has brought our Value Analysis Community even closer together.
AHVAP continues to be all about its members, mission and vision being an integral part of the delivery of healthcare. I encourage the sharing of scholarly and peer information by promoting opportunities to educate other peers and organizations on initiatives or projects that you already performed through research and the value analysis process. Don’t be shy, share your successes, or situations for improvement, and promote the value of your program to AHVAP members and affiliates. If you want to participate in a webinar, podcast or regional meeting to share your experiences, we can make this happen. We want to hear and learn how your organization is advancing its Value Analysis program and what changes have been initiated that sets your organization apart from others.
AHVAP’s committees are working diligently together toward a path for a live national conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, in October to provide stellar educational sessions, key Value Analysis speakers, and a safe and healthy environment to carry out our supplier showcase and networking capabilities. Our goal is to ensure all our members and affiliates are comfortable, safe and secure as our environment continues to reopen and returns to more normal practices.
Check out the remainder of the AHVAP newsletter to learn how our dedicated AHVAP Committee volunteers are providing initiatives and programs to assist in ensuring that your professional needs are being met and exceeded. Feel free to reach out and connect with an AHVAP Committee Chair to learn how you can bring additional value to an AHVAP program at https://www.ahvap.org/page/committees.
With good health,
–Susan A. Toomey, BSHA, CVAHP, CMRP
