President’s Message (Sue’s News)

Dear AHVAP Members and Affiliates,

Are you aware that April has a full calendar month of daily celebrations and observances, including World Autism Awareness Month, National Organ/Tissue Donor Awareness Week, National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, National Walk to Work Day, National Deep Dish Pizza Day, National DNA Day, National Pretzel Day, National Raisin Day, National Garlic Day, Administrative Professionals Day, National Pet Month, even National Take a Chance Day on April 28, just to name a few? Yes, we have become a society with many special reasons to celebrate. Therefore, why not start preparing and mark your calendar to celebrate Value Analysis Week, July 19-23, 2021!  AHVAP anticipates to hear how you and your peers celebrate this special week of recognition at your organization. Make Value Analysis Week fun and enjoyable, or even have a competition among your Value Analysis Teams.

Many Value Analysis professionals are near fiscal year end and continue to be striving hard toward meeting organizational value analysis initiatives. Take advantage of the various AHVAP educational sessions and podcasts currently available and remember to stay connected with AHVAP peers and affiliates to help alleviate some of the stress you might be experiencing, especially with the various backorders and product recalls.

AHVAP committees are also continuing to strive toward meeting AHVAP’s strategic goals and providing additional value necessary to support today’s Value Analysis professionals. Check out the AHVAP committees’ responsibilities at ahvap.org/page/committees.
