President's Message — Liz’s News
Can you believe we are well into February already! Red is the color that seems to rule this month. Did you remember to wear your RED on 2/4 for National Wear Red Day to raise awareness about heart disease in women? If you forgot, no problem. It is always the first Friday in February. I do hope you get a chance to celebrate at a few upcoming events and holidays this month by being safe, socially distancing, and spending quality time with family and friends. It’s an exciting month with the big Game Day 2/13, especially for those who have waited a long time for your team to get into the Super Bowl, followed by a special Valentine’s Day and, of course, President’s Day.
There has already been teamwork happening with all the AHVAP Committees, and the Region Directors have re-engaged with their members to prepare for new upcoming events. Each of the Committees have established their 2022 goals, and they are well on the way to ensuring that you receive increased value from your membership. It’s so exciting to see the networking and ideas flowing at each of the committees. Were you able to catch the New Member Orientation Webinar? Don’t worry. We will be hosting that recorded webinar again in March and as a scheduled series throughout the year.
Are you experiencing great success and/or surpassing your organization’s goals? What better way is there to share your ideas on a national level than get more involved with AHVAP. Try joining one of the eight AHVAP Committees, which is a great way to continue to learn about the organization and the four pillars, and to network to get more involved with Value Analysis peers. Check out AHVAP Committees at https://www.ahvap.org/page/committees and bring your value to AHVAP!
The AHVAP educational series of podcast and webinars has started up again on Wednesdays at noon EST. So far, the topics and speakers have been outstanding and rich with new ideas and content. Please keep your eyes out for the upcoming events on the website and link to register. If you missed them, don’t worry. They are recorded, and you can listen to them on the AHVAP Website at your convenience.
Would you like to report out your organization’s Value Analysis successes? If so, share AHVAP’s social media posts with others or when you personally post, use #WeAreValueAnalysis to spread the word. How do you get your organization actively involved in the Value Analysis process? What types of educational programs have you implemented, and do you have a creative program that you would like to share with peers? Reach out to #WeAreValueAnalysis and share the information.
Wishing you and your family a fantastic and fun filled February!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Eisenberg RN, MSN CVAHP
