78 attendees participated in the inaugural kick-off of these once-a-month networking sessions, which contained 20 minutes of prepared material around the “Let’s Get Started” theme followed by 20 minutes of comments, questions and sharing.
Regardless of what type of data is needed, there are a variety of internal provider resources that are stewards of the data. This runs the gamut from clinical, reimbursement, to payer, PO, AP, whatever data is required to drive the single source of truth for VA - queueing up initiatives, clarifying direction, supporting V=Q/C, metrics, and margin.
The AHVAP Board has charged the creation of its first SIG for provider value analysis professionals and their internal resources to share insights into this critical work.
A big thank you to James Russell, RN-BC, MBA, CVAHP, Director, Clinical Resource Management at MD Anderson Cancer Center, who has agreed to facilitate these monthly discussions around topics in which you have a “special interest.”
Here’s how it works: A virtual meeting invitation will be sent to AHVAP regular members about two weeks before each session. If you/your provider organization is interested, you simply accept the invitation then forward the email with the registration link to one or more of your internal hospital/health system key contacts asking them to join. You can use the content of this newsletter to explain this opportunity or why they are getting an invitation.
There are not right answers, but the sharing of practices that will resonate with how you work. We will ask for suggestions, case studies, and volunteers to share. Following each session, we will send along slides to share during the on-air events to those who attended. We ask that no supplier, product names, or actual pricing be shared to assure comfort in discussing and learning.
