President's Message — Liz’s Letter

Dear AHVAP Members and Affiliates,

May has been a very exciting month! The new AHVAP Website launched May 3, and we are thrilled to complete this monumental accomplishment. Thank you so much to the entire Website task force and the AHVAP office team that made this all possible. Please make sure to go in and update your member profile, add a picture, join a committee, and take a look around at all the enhancements. If you have any questions, please email info@ahvap.org, and the office team will help you out.

I read a great article in Harvard Business Review this month talking about the concept of “value selling” and a triple fit framework designed to facilitate collaborative value creation between sellers and buyers. The author describes specific tactics that focuses on what a company’s products can do for the customer by creating value together. He talks about placing a higher level of priority on value creation across three collaboration levels: planning, execution, and resources. Collaboration and forming strong, trusted relationships are foundational principles in our Value Analysis programs, and the tactics in this article can be applied to our everyday work.

The Region Directors have been busy hosting networking meetings and huddles. The annual conference planning committee in collaboration with the education development committee have finalized the presentation selections and the program is taking shape. Dallas is going to be another fantastic annual conference! Please be on the lookout for the program announcement and register for the event.

The Podcast Series and Webinars are scheduled in May, so be on the lookout for those upcoming event registrations. Value Analysis week is coming up the week of July 18 and if you want to participate or share some value successes or some fun ideas with the AHVAP Marketing Committee, please email your information to info@ahvap.com.
