President's Message — Liz's Letter
Dear AHVAP Members and Affiliates,
Fall is here, the season is set to change, and I am sure each of you had a chance to relax on Labor Day. As we paid tribute to the contributions and achievements of our workers, I hope you took some time to spend it with family and friends reflecting on how your value analysis work makes a positive impact on the overall performance of each of your organizations and on America.
Value Analysis is more crucial than ever, and we have consistently demonstrated the strength and resilience of our profession throughout the ups and downs over these past two and a half years. The demand for improving the patient care delivery model with standard work, innovative technology, product standardization, removing unwanted variation while improving the patient experience and funding our future is more important today than ever before.
Are you willing to highlight some of your Value Analysis success? What a better way to share that information with other value analysis healthcare professionals on a national level and get more involved with AHVAP. Please join one of the eight AHVAP Committees, which is a great way to continue to learn about the organization, the four pillars, and network to get more involved with Value Analysis peers. There continues to be a flurry of work happening with all the AHVAP Committees, and the Region Directors have been meeting and networking with their members at the District level. Committees and Regions are on target for meeting their goals for the year. Please visit the website and look at the calendar of events happening. Everyone is welcome to attend any of the AHVP Region Huddles/District events, so simply download the event onto your calendar and participate. It is so exciting to see the networking and ideas flowing at each of the committees this year.
We are less than two months away from AHVAP’s National Annual Conference and Supplier Showcase. Register for the conference at www.ahvap.org. What a great way to re-connect, attend outstanding educational sessions, prepare for your CVAHP certification, see old friends, meet new ones, and bring forth new opportunities to AHVAP. AHVAP is your Value Analysis organization and how you contribute is how you can make a difference. We value our members, and this year’s annual program is absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to be together again and reconnect in Dallas. Together in Value!
